Nurses’ strike put off

KADAPA: Government nurses on Friday put off their strike plan following talks with Health Secretary P.V. Ramesh and A.P. Vaidya Vidhana Parishad Commissioner Amanullah Khan, according to district president of A.P. Government Nurses Association M. Ruthamma.

She said nurses would go on strike if their demands were not conceded within 10 days.

The officials promised to give promotions to nurses on seniority basis, cancel promotions granted recently and to scrap G.O. 48, she added.
