79 selected as home guards

Tuticorin: Seventy-one persons (69 men and two women) were selected as home guards in the district, in a recent recruitment drive. Ten of them will be posted at Kovilpatti, 16 at Tiruchendur and 45 at Tuticorin.

About 150 persons participated for filling 91 vacancies.
