RTC workers stage relay fast

KADAPA: Members of the APSRTC Employees Union staged a relay hunger strike before Kadapa RTC regional workshop on Saturday protesting against filling of posts in bus body building and spare parts wings through outsourcing. RTC authorities are abruptly transferring workers of the two wings in the workshop and filling posts by outsourcing, Union’s regional secretary M.N. Reddy alleged.

Posts falling vacant by retirement and death of workers could be filled by outsourcing, but transferring existing employees to appoint workers is atrocious, Mr. Reddy said.
