Special train to Chennai

Kozhikode: Tri-weekly special trains will be operated between Chennai and Mangalore to clear rush on the Chennai-Mangalore sector.
A Southern Railway release said that train no 0661\0662 Chennai-Mangalore superfast tri-weekly specials will run from Chennai on June 26, 28 and 30 and from Mangalore on June 24, 27 and 29 and July 1.
The train will start from Chennai Central at 5 p.m. and reach Mangalore at 9.10 a.m. the next day.
It will reach Palakkad at 1.15 a.m., Shoranur 2.25 a.m., Tirur 3.10 a.m., Kozhikode 4.35 a.m., Vadakara 5.16 a.m., Thalasserry 5.43 a.m., Kannur 6.20 a.m., Kanhangad 7.25 a.m. and Kasaragod 8.08 a.m. The service from Mangalore will start at 5 p.m. and reach Chennai at 8.45 a.m. the next day. It will reach Kasaragod at 5.45 p.m., Kanhangad 6.05 p.m., Kannur 7.15 p.m., Thalasserry 7.35 p.m., Vadakara 8 p.m., Kozhikode 9.05 p.m., Tirur 10.05 p.m., Shoranur 11.25 p.m. and Palakkad 12.20 a.m. The train will have one AC two-tier coach, one AC three-tier coach, nine sleeper class coaches, four general second class and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
