Two cyclists killed in accident

VILLUPURAM: A lorry knocked down two construction workers riding on a bicycle at Madapattu near here on Saturday. Both of them died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Sakthivel (40) and M. Pichaimuthu (25) of Anaivari. The bodies were sent to the Ulundurpet Government Hospital for post-mortem. The police said while the cyclists were on their way to buy cement, the lorry proceeding from Tiruchi to Chennai hit them. The driver and cleaner fled the scene. Police have registered a case and are on the look out for the cleaner and driver.
