Farm census enters last phase

KOZHIKODE: The agricultural census in the district has entered the last phase. The “input survey” will begin on Monday, M. Muralidharan, Deputy Director, Office of Economics and Statistics Department, said here on Saturday.

The survey will collect information on size of operational holding, cropping pattern, livestock, irrigation, use of fertilizers, pesticides and agricultural tools and farm credit.

A regional conference of officers of the department in the northern districts was held here on Saturday at the Malabar Chamber of Commerce Hall.

Mr. Muralidharan sought the cooperation of all concerned for the efforts of the survey staff.
