PU marks to count for UAS admissions

Staff Correspondent

Bidar: The agricultural universities in Bangalore and Dharwad and the Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University have decided to admit students on the basis of marks obtained in the pre-university examination and not those obtained in the Common Entrance Test. However, CET marks will continue to be considered for admission to the veterinary science course.

University officials said the decision was taken because of the declining popularity of agricultural science courses, with students opting for engineering. “We also want to make the procedure of admission easier,” said Veterinary University registrar Suresh Honnappagol.

However, the CET marks will continue to be taken into account for admission to the veterinary science course.
