Protest against helmet rule

Kochi: The Thrissur-based Malayala Vedi has protested against the implementation of the helmet rule in the state. At a press conference, Chairman of the Vedi George Vattukulam said that the government could have amended the rule and exempted two-wheeler riders from wearing helmets as in the case of pillion riders. He alleged that the Government failed to make available adequate number of quality helmets in the markets.
