1,801 fever cases in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Fever Containment Cell here stated that a total of 1,801 patients, 43 of them suspected chikungunya cases, sought treatment for viral fever at various Government and private health centres in the district on Saturday.

David, 70, of Elakolloor near Konni, who was undergoing treatment for viral fever, died of renal failure at Kottayam Medical College Hospital on Saturday, official sources said.
