Build Dr. Raj art gallery: Lakkanna

BANGALORE: The former MLA K. Lakkanna on Saturday urged the Government to build an art gallery commemorating the late thespian Rajkumar on two acres of land adjacent to the Beggars’ Colony, instead of allowing the land to be utilised for cremation.

Mr. Lakkanna told presspersons here that already there were three graveyards catering to Kamakshipalya, Beggars’ Colony, Laggere, J.C. Nagar and Kamalanagar and there was no need for another graveyard.

Mr. Lakkanna alleged that vested interests were behind the move to create one more graveyard in the area . — Staff Reporter
