NEW DELHI: Eminent agriculture scientist M.S. Swaminathan will make a special presentation on “Agrarian crisis and solutions” at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national executive meeting to be held here on June 25-26. Three resolutions — on agrarian crisis, political situation and Ram Setu (Sethusamudram project) — will be passed, party spokesman Prakash Javdekar said on Saturday. Scientist and the former World Bank official, Kalyani Raman, will make a presentation on the Sethusamudram project. Senior BJP leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L.K. Advani and Rajnath Singh will address the meeting. The party’s performance in the recently held Goa, Uttar Pradesh elections and some by-elections will be discussed. On June 27, those in charge of the States will meet. The national executive will be preceded on June 24 with a meeting of general secretaries and national office-bearers.
