VISAKHAPATNAM: Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao on Saturday expressed satisfaction over steps being taken by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation officials as heavy rains lashed the city for the last two days. Mr. Janardhana Rao, along with Deputy Mayor, some corporators and Chief Medical Officer M.S. Raju visited low-lying areas in the 51st and 52nd divisions and the special medical camps being run at Prasad Gardens, Jalaripeta, Dayananda Nagar and Gnanapuram. He wanted the officials to take steps to restore normalcy as soon as possible. Corporators Pilla Varalakshmi, Garikina Gowri, K. Hanoc, Konta Tata Rao and Gandham Srinivasa Rao accompanied the Mayor.
