Cop suspended for alleged assault

NEW DELHI: A Delhi Police sub-inspector posted at the Janakpuri police station here was suspended on Saturday for allegedly assaulting a young man who had been arrested on charges of his involvement in a drunken brawl.Sub-Inspector Rajbir Singh was suspended pending a vigilance inquiry into the allegations.
