Businessman robbed

NEW DELHI: A 23-year-old businessman was robbed of several thousand rupees in cash and two gold rings at Vishwas Nagar here on Saturday.

According to the police, three young men armed with a country-made pistol and knives barged into the shop of Priyank Jain in the afternoon and robbed him of Rs. 25,000 in cash and two gold chains at gunpoint. However, Priyank caught hold of one of them and raised an alarm. When one of Priyank’s employees, Balram, came forward to help, the robbers fired at him and fled on a motorcycle. No arrests have been made so far.
