TIRUCHI: Judicial officers of Tiruchi and Perambalur districts, attending in a three-day ‘district-level continuing education workshop’ organised by the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy, Chennai, here, have mooted a plan to set up mediation centres in their courts, to ensure expeditious disposal of pending cases. Impressed by their inclination to take maximum advantage of the concept of the Mediation and Conciliation Centre functioning in Chennai, Judge of the Madras High Court, V. Dhanapalan, and Director of the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy, S. Vimala, appreciated their enthusiasm for ensuring speedy justice. Visiting Consultant to the Academy, N.R. Madhav Menon, appreciated their concern. Earlier, First Additional District Judge, Tiruchi, V. Ramamurthy, said a centre sanctioned few years ago was yet to take off.
