Scholar invited to TANA meet

Kadiyala Rama Mohan Roy

GUNTUR: The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) invited Kadiyala Rama Mohan Roy to participate in their annual conference at Washington DC from July 5 to 7 to deliver a lecture on ‘Changing Trends in Telugu Literature since Indian Independence.’

Potti Sriramulu Telugu University had awarded ‘Pratibha Puraskaram’ to Mr. Roy for his ‘Scholarly Criticism and Research’. The GVS Kala Peetham, Hyderabad had given him ‘Best Literary Critic’ award. Telugu Kavitha Vikasam (A.P. Sahitya Academy), Krishna Sastry Kavitha Vaibhavam (Yuva Bharathi), Sahridaya (Visalandhra Pulishing House), 20th Century Telugu Poetry (Potti Sriramulu Telugu University are Mr.Roy’s well known literary works.

He completed two major research projects ‘Evolution of 20th Century Telugu Literature’, ‘Telugu Padyam (verse) -- A comprehensive study’ with the aid from UGC.
