Anniversary of Left rule in West Bengal

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) district committee is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Left Front Government in West Bengal from June 26 to 29. The programmes include talks on the achievements of that Government followed by screening of Bengali films, a press release says. The party will give a reception to West Bengal Finance Minister Asim Das Gupta at the AKG Centre on June 29. The talks will be at the University Students’ Centre at 5.30 p.m. each day. — Special Correspondent
