Kakinada: Two fishermen of Parlaopet who are reported missing in the sea owing to capsizing of their boat in the cyclonic weather could not be traced even after three days and are believed to have been drowned. Authorities have also lost hopes of recovery of their bodies as marine creatures might have fed on them. Of the total six occupants of the boat that capsized on Thursday, three swam ashore safely. The dead body of one person was recovered. The remaining two persons who were asleep at the time of the tragedy might have sunk along with the boat. Found dead
Meanwhile, another fisherman G. Kondaiah, 60 , of Dummulapet was found dead along the salt creek where he was fishing near the fishermen colony on Saturday evening. The police registered the case. Since the cause of the death was not established, authorities were making efforts to treat it as an accidental death while fishing and extend ex gratia under the group insurance scheme.
