dated June 26, 1957: Asia’s Cattle Wealth

The view that the economic value and general utility of livestock in Asian countries was not proportionate to its numbers was expressed by the working party of ECAFE which ended its week-long session in Madras after considering the problems affecting the leather industry in this part of the world.

The view was expressed at a Press conference held this forenoon by Mr. Satish Chandra, Chairman and experts who attended the session, at the Central Leather Research Institute, Guindy.
