PANAJI: On a day of crowded schedules but marred by frequent rain interruptions at the Campal pool here, the divers were put to a severe test. While eight events, five from Sunday, which was entirely washed out, had to be completed the organisers and the technical officials decided to cut short the number of rounds just to ensure the programme was completed and the divers braved it all. Krishna Naik of SSCB bagged his second gold amongst Group ‘I’ boys’ while the toast of the championship Swati Vidhap of Maharashtra claimed her third gold in girls’ Group III.
