Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed Nitin Patel as physiotherapist of the Indian cricket team for the remaining part of the tour of Ireland and the full tour of England. Mr. Patel, who has studied Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham, was the physio of the Baroda Ranji Trophy team for three years. The Indian team physio John Gloster, who fractured his elbow in the course of a fielding session before India’s match against Ireland, would undergo surgery and thereafter join the team to advise and assist Patel in England. — Special Correspondent
