NCC cadets get trained in bayonet fighting

KADAPA: Twenty five NCC cadets of 30 Andhra NCC Battalion trekked the Palakonda hills and cleaned up an ancient temple at Putlampalle on outskirts of Kadapa on Monday. The cadets also underwent training in bayonet fighting and were enlightened on EMRI 108 services during accidents such as giving first aid and providing preliminary treatment.

They also practiced karate. Lecturer of YSRM Degree College Gangadhar explained about the sacrifices rendered by freedom-fighters and their role during the freedom movement.

The cadets cleaned the college premises and played games. NCC Commanding Officer Rajiv Manchanda, Subedar Major Joginder Singh, NCC officers Subbanarasaiah, Kulasekhar Reddy, C. Vijayabhaskar, Mohd. Ali Basha and M. Srinivasulu oversaw the training.
