BHUBANESWAR: The result of the entrance examination for admission into different technical education programmes commencing in 2007 under city-based private university KIIT was declared here on Monday. As many as 12,123 students figured in the merit list for degree engineering programmes while 1469 were selected for the MCA stream, a university release said. While Subahsis Mishra topped the list for B.Tech, Rousan Singh was the most successful candidate in the MCA list. Supriya Kritiman topped among girls in engineering. The toppers of both B.Tech and MCA streams would get full waiver of fees, the university said. Besides, the students having rank from 1 to10 would be offered special scholarship of Rs.3,000 per month and rank holders from 11 to 50 would get Rs. 2000 per month. Students having rank within 996 were invited for counselling in engineering while for MCA, the cutoff rank was 305. The counselling will be held from July 17 to 22. Meanwhile, the KIIT university signed an MoU with Regional Medical Research Centre for collaboration in research programmes.
