Villagers demand patta

ERODE: More than 50 persons residing at Marudurai Parayakattuvalasu and Kalikattuvalasu submitted a petition to District Revenue Officer V. Santha on Monday seeking patta. They said they were residing in the area for the last several years and so they should be given proper patta. Ms. Santha received more than 200 petitions demanding house site patta, employment, old age pension, family cards and removal of encroachments in some villages. She assured the petitioners that their grievances would be redressed in a month.
