Ram Babu Sharma hits out at MCD

NEW DELHI: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ram Babu Sharma on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Municipal Corporation of Delhi of failing to make adequate arrangements to collect the conversions charges announced recently by the Union Government.

Blaming the “lackadaisical attitude” of the civic body for the problems being faced by traders in depositing the conversion charges, Mr. Sharma said though the charges had been drastically reduced the woes of the traders were far from over as adequate arrangements had not been made to collect the charges.
