Alleged suicide

NEW DELHI: A 23-year-old auto-rickshaw driver allegedly committed suicide at Mangolpuri here on Sunday.

According to the police, Dheeraj was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his house in the morning. When Dheeraj did not open the door despite his wife’s repeated knocks, she broke open the door and found him hanging with the help of a sari, the police said. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. The hospital authorities then informed the police.

Dheeraj got married two months ago.

A case of suicide has been registered.
