Lenzing opens India office

COIMBATORE: Lenzing AG, the Austria-based cellulose fibre producer, has opened its marketing and sales office in Coimbatore.The Lenzing Group is setting up a new viscose fibre plant near Mumbai in association with the Modi group at a total investment of $200 million. The investments had started happening and the plant was expected to commence production by 2010-11. Initially, the capacity of the plant would be 80,000 tonnes, they said.
