Letters to the Editor
Congratulations to Sunita Williams for spending 195 days in space, the longest ever by a woman, and setting a record. She has done India proud. She may be a U.S. citizen, but is equally proud of her Indian connection. She is an epitome of an empowered woman — a true icon for the youth dreaming to make it big.
Colonel R.D. Singh,
The media went on an overdrive before Sunita returned from space. They gave an impression that Atlantis should return to the earth safely because an Indian was on board. There was hardly any mention of the other six crew members. This certainly was not good journalism.
P.R.V. Raghavan,
