Anticipatory bail conditions relaxed

MADURAI: The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday relaxed anticipatory bail conditions imposed on nine All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam functionaries, including three former Ministers and a sitting MLA, in a case registered against them for allegedly setting afire a car of former Madurai Mayor P. Kulandaivelu here on June 19. Justice G. Rajasuria permitted the petitioners to go to their hometowns and appear before the local police station once a day. As per existing conditions, former Ministers Pollachi V. Jayaraman, V.T. Natarajan and Anitha Radhakrishnan, MLA K. Sekar Babu and five others were directed to stay in Madurai and appear sign at the Anna Nagar police twice a day. — Staff Reporter
