AIDWA for upliftment of Muslim women

HYDERABAD: The State committee of the All-India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) has demanded the Government to immediately solve the problems faced by Muslim women in the light of the Sachar Committee report.

In a representation submitted to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy here on Tuesday, State AIDWA president T. Jyoti and secretary K. Swaruparani sought earmarking of 15 per cent from the State budget for welfare of Muslims. They wanted introduction of special schemes, establishment of ITIs and primary health centres in predominant Muslim areas.

The State AIDWA leaders demanded setting up of training centres.
