Pranab writes to Karunanidhi

CHENNAI: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee wrote to Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi informing him that a local office of the Ministry would be set up in Chennai this August. He also said that passport offices in Madurai and Coimbatore would also come up in September and at the end of the year respectively. A place to locate the branch office had been selected, he said in the letter and added that it would be located on the Tamil Nadu Text Book Society campus.

Earlier, Mr.Karunanidhi had written to Mr.Mukherjee requesting him to set up a branch of the Ministry in Chennai and also for setting up of the passport offices.
