Five killed in accidents

HYDERABAD: Road accidents claimed five lives in and around city in the past two days. An unidentified man, aged about 30, was knocked down by a lorry while he was crossing the LB Nagar ring road on foot on Monday night. He was clad in orange shirt and brown trousers. Another man in his mid 50s was killed after an unidentified vehicle hit him on Ibrahimpatnam main road. He was wearing a white ‘dhoti’ and shirt. A motorcyclist P. Shailu, 25, whose vehicle skidded off in Chilakalaguda four days ago, succumbed to injuries at Gandhi Hospital on Monday. He hailed from Armoor of Nizamabad district.

Y. Satyammma, 46, died when the auto-rickshaw in which she was travelling overturned near Achchaipalli village in Shamirpet. An APSRTC bus knocked down a motorcyclist G. Mohan Reddy, 43, leaving him dead on the spot near Muthyalamma temple on Alwal-Bollaram main road in the early hours of Tuesday.
