Girl found murdered

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A girl Mangamma, 14, who has been missing for the past two weeks, was found murdered near a graveyard at Koyagudem of Medchal on Tuesday.

A ‘chunni’ found around her throat suggested that she was strangled to death. Forensic doctors ruled out the possibility of sexual assault on her. The girl’s father died before she was born.

As her mother subsequently deserted her, Mangamma was brought up by her grandmother Pochamma. As the old woman could not work and had no source of income, Mangamma had to beg for food.
