CHENNAI: Sahasrakalasa Abhishekam will be performed to Srinivasa Perumal at the Navalpakkam temple near Vandavasi in Tiruvannamalai district on June 30.

It is being held to commemorate a Somayoga conducted by Agnihotram Narayanacharya 60 years ago. To remember the great event that took place in the Ani month of the Tamil year, Sarvajit, his disciples at Navalpakkam have planned to rejuvenate the religious fervour, says V. Kannan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad.
