A tryst with cartoons

The pilot project of the cartoon-animation cinema production training project implemented by the Education Department for the high school students began at the Kuttippuram education sub-district.

Nearly 80 students selected from high schools in the sub-district are participating in programme. The first phase of the project includes training students to chalk out story boards and cartoon characters for cartoon films. The second phase includes t he production of films by arranging moving pictures on the computer and characters and story board drawn up by the students. K.T. Jaleel, MLA, patron of the project, and Auriga Multimedia are providing the technical assistance for the project. The students will be trained in editing, sound recording and dubbing at the studio. The post-production works of the films, each of three-minute duration, will be done at the studio of Auriga Multimedia.
