Eight aides of Bablu Srivastav held

Lucknow: Eight aides of jailed mafia don Bablu Srivastav were arrested on Wednesday on charges of trying to extort money from the city traders and property dealers.

Additional Director General of Police Brij Lal told reporters here that the aides were arrested from the CBI court here where Bablu was produced in connection with a case. Bablu is currently lodged in Bareilly district jail, he said.

Mr. Lal said 14 cell phones, a lap-top and a jeep were also recovered from them.
