ru 1, Himachal Pradesh: Guler 5 and Ghamroor 4, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 8, Jammu and Patti 4 each and Bhaderwah 1, Punjab: shahpurkandi 5, Ranjitsagardam 3 and Balachaur and Phillaur 1 each, East Rajasthan: Kathumer 9, Kaman 4, Pahari 3, Kumher, Kishangangwas and Mount Abu 2 each and Alwar, Bhatarpur, Beir, Bansur, Bahadurpur, Deeg, Govindgarh, Jhadol, Kotputli, Kanba, Nagar, Nadbai and Neemkathana 1 each, West Rajasthan: Garraroad 3, Ramsar 2 and Bagoda, Bhinmal and Sindrai 1 each, East West Uttar Pradesh: Agra 2 and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 3 and Uttarkashi 2.
TEMPERATURE: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana and Punjab, fell in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab, west Raj
asthan and west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.8°C recorded at Varanasi (A.P) (Uttar Pradesh).
