AG’s office staff stage dharna

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Employees of the Accountant-General’s office held a dharna as part of a countrywide action on Wednesday demanding the implementation of the orders allowing their demands issued by the Central Arbitration Board. The coordination committee of the organisations of audit and account employees, which spearheaded the action, said the demands allowed included restoration of pay parity with Central Secretariat from January 1, 1986, sanctioning of arrears at the revised rates of HRA and CCA from January 1, 1996, and sanction of touring special pay. The dharna was held at the main office here and the branch offices in Kottayam, Kochi, Thrissur and Kozhikode.
