Mayor appeals to traders

NEW DELHI: At a special camp for traders on Wednesday, Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra urged them to pay up conversion and parking charges. She said though there was some confusion over several issues related to the charges, they were in the larger interest of the Capital’s residents.

With the June 30 deadline for conversion charges fast approaching, Delhi unit president of the CAIT Ramesh Khanna demanded a clarification from the MCD on who was liable to pay conversion charges and where these charges could be paid.
