CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been active over coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rainfall occurred at most places over coastal and north interior Karnataka and Kerala, at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka and at a few places over Rayalaseema and Telangana. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep.

FORECAST (valid until Friday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka, Kerala and north coastal Andhra Pradesh, at many places over interior Karnataka, Telangana and south coastal Andhr a Pradesh and at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over coastal Karnataka and north coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase in rainfall for north Tamil Nadu/ Puducherry.
