Bombs confiscated from tiffin box

AHMEDABAD: A person carrying some bombs in a tiffin box was arrested by the police from a bus stand in the Lal Darwaja area, in the heart of the city, on Wednesday afternoon. The police said the bomb squad was summoned to defuse the bombs and the person taken for interrogation.

He was arrested following a tip off from the Kolkata police that a person carrying some bombs had headed for Ahmedabad.

The police said that he had admitted to have come from Kolkata but had claimed that his intention was to “sell” the bombs and not use them in terrorist activities.
