‘Give women equal opportunities’

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Forests Benoy Viswom has called for equal opportunities for women in all sectors. He was speaking after inaugurating a workshop jointly organised by the District Information Office, the secretariat employees’ association and women subcommittee here on Wednesday. The Minister was of the view that the society did not accord due respect to women. Despite the existence of a women’s commission, atrocities against women continued unabated, he said. — Staff Reporter
