Vendor killed

NEW DELHI: A 23-year-old vendor was killed and two other persons were injured when a speeding Maruti car ran into them at Kalkaji here on Wednesday.

According to the police, the rashly driven car coming from Chiragh Dilli hit two vendors -- Shashi and Shanker -- and a pedestrian, Gaurav, near Bhairon Mandir in the morning. The car then rammed into a Rural Transport Vehicle before coming to a halt.

Shashi died on the spot, while Shanker and Gaurav were admitted to AIIMS.
