Fast seeking public auction of tanks

KARAIKAL: A large number of members from all political parties on Wednesday observed a token fast in front of the Neravy Commune panchayat office in Karaikal district demanding the Government to conduct public auction for all the 46 tanks in the commune panchayat for breeding of fish. The fasting members pointed out that the district administration had proposed to auction only 22 tanks in the commune panchayat.
