On Grand Southern Trunk Road in Pallavaram, he is reported to have lost control of the vehicle and fell. He was then run over by a speeding mini-lorry and was crushed to death. The accident took place at 9.15 a.m.
At Thoraipakkam on Old Mamallapuram Road, a 23-year-old youth was killed on the spot after he was hit by a speeding lorry. S.
