Girl lodges complaint against cousin

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A 13-year-old girl on Wednesday approached the Saroornagar police alleging that her cousin, Narender Raju, 27, had been sexually assaulting her for the past three months.

The girl was living with her father’s sister, Laxmamma, since her parents died. Laxmamma’s son Narender Raju allegedly raped the girl when she was alone in the house at Durganagar of Karmanghat and since then had been sexually assaulting her.

Two days ago, the girl went to the house of her relative, Aruna, and told her about the sexual assault by Raju. Based on the girl’s complaint, the Saroornagar police registered a case and sent the girl for medical examination. Police are on the look-out for Raju.
