Krishnagiri: Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) Chennai, Indian Bank, Dharmapuri Circle and Krishnagiri District Small and Tiny Industries Association organised an industrial motivation campaign here on Thursday. According to Dr. C. Azhagirisamy Assistant Director SISI, the main objective of the campaign is to motivate and encourage unemployed educated youth to start self-employment ventures such as agro-based industries, small and medium industries, mechanical, engineering and service industries. It would highlight the opportunities in the industrial sector and provide guidance to youth to get financial assistance from banks. About 200 entrepreneurs were screened in Krishnagiri so far. Of them SISI has given in-principle approval for providing loan assistance to 150 youth. The selected candidates would be given entrepreneurial training by SISI and KRIDSTIA. Information on various schemes of development agencies, scope of industries in the region and on-spot guidance on various projects was given to candidates, he said. Candidates above 18 years with a pass in Standard X and entrepreneurs with viable projects can contact SISI, Indian Bank and KRIDSTIA for assistance.
