JAIPUR: The Jal Chetana Yatra conceived by the Rajasthan Government as a State-wide march to promote public awareness about water-related issues, which was deferred early this year, will be launched in the first week of September. State Water Resources Minister Sanwarlal Jat said in Ajmer on Thursday that the revised schedule of the campaign would facilitate involvement of the rural folk who would be relatively free after the rabi crop harvest. Mr. Jat said the State Government would also hold revenue camps along with the Yatra to attract people in large numbers and solve their land, tenancy and revenue-related problems. The Minister instructed the State Public Health Engineering Department officials to restore drinking water supply to some parts of Ajmer town by immediately repairing a damaged pipeline.
