HR panel seeks report on student’s suicide

Hyderabad: The State Human Rights Commission has directed the Superintendent of Police Guntur to submit a report into the death of a dental student in Guntur district by July 6. Taking suo motu notice of suicide by Jessy Madhuri, studying second year in Sibar Dental College in Guntur district because a particular lecturer had been abusing here in the name of caste (Scheduled Caste) and the extreme punishment given to her, the Commission said it was a serious human rights violation.
