Nagercoil:The two-day State Executive Committee meeting of the Communist Party of India (M) began at Kanyakumari on Thursday. All India general secretary Prakash Karat, State Polit Bureau member K.Varadarajan, State secretary of CPI (M), C.Varadarajan, Central Bureau members, A.K.Padmanabhan, W.R.Varadarajan and other district secretaries participated the executive meeting. State executive member Venkatraman presided over the meeting. They discussed how to strengthen the party and decided to conduct conferences at the local, district and state level from September to March. A national-level conference would be conducted at Coimbatore next March, according to party sources. — Staff Reporter
